Bergseite Dobermann is a small kennel located in the foothills of the Brushy Mountains of NC. We are a working kennel with the focus on just that......WORK. We believe the Dobermann is still intended to be a working dog with the heart and courage to do real life work. Whether it's IPO, PSA, ring, personal protection or any other venue you choose. Bergseite Dobermann will be able to excell anywhere. Through selective breedings of the top dogs, we strive to produce a dog with lots of OFFENSIVE fight drive, good character and health. Our dogs can bring the fight on the field and still be trusted to be in social settings with family and friends. If we plan a litter with any of our dogs, the working ability and health of the litter is top priority. Conformation normally isn't even a consideration for us. I have yet to see a dog who's unable to do the work due to conformation. The number one Issue this breed has, is the lack of hardness and fight to be considered a good candidate for work. All of our dogs are tested through training and competition to see if they truly have what it takes to make it at Bergseite Dobermann. All dogs are fully health tested and free of all known genetic issues. All dogs are also titled before they are bred to insure that we are doing our part to return this breed to it's noble status.
